In a deeply heartbreaking incident, a 12-year-old boy, Akhil Pratap Singh, died after suffering a sudden, silent heart attack moments after arriving at school in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The tragic episode was captured on CCTV, leaving viewers and passersby stunned.

Akhil, a Class 7 student at St. Anthony’s School, had just returned to school after the summer break. On Tuesday morning, his father dropped him off in front of the school building. The boy got out of the car, slung his bag over his shoulder, and began walking toward the gate.

But within seconds, he felt unsteady and collapsed on the pavement. His father, who had just watched him step out, immediately ran to his side and lifted him in his arms, desperately trying to get help. The school staff acted swiftly and rushed Akhil to a nearby hospital. Sadly, doctors declared him brought dead.

The unexpected death of a seemingly healthy child has left the community in shock. While rare, such cases have alarmingly increased post-COVID, with reports of sudden cardiac arrests across age groups becoming more frequent.

This isn’t the first instance where a young individual has collapsed without warning, raising serious questions about post-pandemic cardiac risks, especially in children and adolescents.

Authorities and health experts are urging families to be more vigilant about children’s health, even when there are no visible symptoms.
