New Delhi: As security measures remained in place amid the ongoing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest near Jantar Mantar, 17 Delhi Metro stations remained closed for the third consecutive day on Friday, disrupting the daily commute of thousands of passengers across the national capital.
In an advisory, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said metro services at the affected stations would remain suspended from 7.30 a.m. until further notice. However, interchange facilities will continue to be available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat stations.

The stations that remain closed are:

- Rajiv Chowk
- Patel Chowk
- Ramakrishna Ashram Marg
- Barakhambha Road
- Supreme Court
- Seva Teerth
- Janpath
- Mandi House
- Central Secretariat
- ITO
- Delhi Gate
- Indraprastha
- Khan Market
- Jor Bagh
- Shivaji Stadium
- Jhandewalan
Commuters continue to face inconvenience
The restrictions, first imposed on Wednesday, have significantly affected office-goers, students and other commuters who rely on the Delhi Metro for daily travel.
The prolonged closure has also impacted access to key government and judicial institutions in central Delhi.
SCBA moves Supreme Court
The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has approached the Supreme Court, stating that the closure of metro stations has created difficulties for lawyers, litigants and court staff in reaching the apex court.
Authorities have not indicated when normal metro services will resume, with the restrictions expected to continue until security agencies review the situation around the protest site.
