2 Minors Among 6 Held For ₹ 70 Lakh Heist In Delhi

Six individuals, including two minors, have been apprehended by Delhi Police in connection with a robbery totaling ₹70 lakh at Govind Agency in Naya Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Delhi. The incident occurred on June 9, where Chaggo Mal Pande, 76, a cash collection staff, was reportedly robbed at gunpoint of approximately ₹23 lakh, along with another bag of uncounted money.

Following the complaint, a dedicated team of eight Delhi Police officers swiftly conducted searches in Mussoorie, Dehradun, and Delhi, resulting in the arrest of six suspects within 28 hours. They also managed to recover ₹30 lakh in cash.

The arrests were made based on crucial CCTV footage and technical surveillance, which tracked the suspects’ movements. From Mussoorie, Chinar Amariya (23), Paras (20), Sharad (19), and a juvenile were apprehended with ₹14.3 lakh in cash, shares worth ₹1.2 lakh, and a motorcycle. In Dehradun, Rohit (20) and two others were caught with ₹9.4 lakh in cash and three mobile phones valued at ₹4.5 lakh, allegedly purchased with the stolen money.

Currently, efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining two suspects and recover the remaining stolen funds.
