A 31-year-old man working with a private finance firm died on Tuesday afternoon after suffering a sudden heart attack at a mobile shop in Indore’s Bhanwarkuan locality.
The deceased, Shivnarayan Malviya, was assisting a customer with a mobile financing enquiry at Ajay Enterprises, a shop near Teen Imli, when he unexpectedly fell from his chair. Staff members initially thought he had fainted, but quickly realised he had collapsed due to a cardiac arrest.
According to witnesses, colleagues immediately lifted him and rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, doctors were unable to revive him
Incident captured on video
Footage from inside the mobile shop, which surfaced on Wednesday, shows Shivnarayan seated and working moments before the incident. The video then captures him losing consciousness and slipping off his chair, prompting immediate concern from co-workers who rushed to his aid.
Such sudden cardiac events, especially in working-age individuals, have become an area of concern for medical professionals. Although no medical history details were shared by the family, doctors note that stress, lifestyle factors and undiagnosed conditions can contribute to sudden heart attacks.
Family and personal background
Shivnarayan was a resident of Musakhedi and leaves behind two young children — a five-year-old son and a two-and-a-half-year-old son. The family had already endured hardship, having lost their father a decade ago.
His elder brother, Ramgopal Malviya, lives nearby with his family and has been supporting relatives as they prepare for the final rites.
Last rites in native village
The Malviya family hails from Mahuriya village near Kannod, where Shivnarayan’s last rites will be performed. Relatives and neighbours have gathered to support the bereaved family as they navigate the sudden loss.
The incident has left the community shaken, highlighting the growing need for awareness of early cardiac symptoms and timely medical intervention, especially among younger working populations.
