THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Delimitation Commission has received a total of 782 complaints regarding the recent redrawing of 152 block panchayat ward boundaries, ahead of the upcoming local body elections.

Among the districts, Kozhikode topped the list with 119 complaints, while Alappuzha registered the fewest, with 23. In response to the widespread dissatisfaction, the Commission has announced a schedule of region-wise public hearings to address the concerns.

The hearings will begin in Thiruvananthapuram on June 21, covering Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta districts. The session will be held at the PWD Rest House, Thycaud, starting from 9 AM.

Next, a hearing will be conducted at Ernakulam Rest House on June 23, catering to complaints from Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Kottayam districts.

Finally, the Commission will hold a session in Kozhikode Guest House on June 24, for Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod.
