Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party MLAs spent the night inside the Punjab assembly on Monday, protesting against against government for not supplying the copies of the proposed legislation to be tabled in the special session against the new farm laws brought by Centre.

The legislators were seen sleeping on the couches and on the floor on the first day of a special assembly session.

In a statement issued by AAP in Chandigarh on Monday, the Leader of Opposition accused the Capt Amarinder Singh government of conspiring against the interests of farmers of Punjab by withholding important information regarding deadly Bills related to the future of Punjab, to be tabled in the House.

The Aam Aadmi Party MLAs sat in the Well of the House till late Monday evening after which they moved to the gallery outside the assembly, but confined themselves within the assembly complex building demanding copies of the Bill which the state’s Congress government is now expected to introduce on Tuesday.
