A 24-year-old air-conditioning technician was beaten to death in a brutal late-night attack in Hyderabad’s Attapur area, police said.
The victim, identified as Mohd Hussain, was allegedly assaulted by a group of unidentified persons using metal knuckles and other objects. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday night and has triggered concern over rising violent crimes in the city.
According to police, Hussain sustained severe injuries during the assault and collapsed at the scene. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police launch investigation
Authorities said a case has been registered and teams have begun searching for the accused. Preliminary investigations suggest the attack may have stemmed from a personal dispute, though officials have not ruled out other angles.
Police are also examining CCTV footage from the area and questioning local residents to identify those involved in the assault.

The victim’s family members expressed shock and grief over the killing and demanded strict action against the attackers. Friends and neighbours described Hussain as a hardworking young man employed as an air-conditioning technician.
