Kochi: Malayalam actor and filmmaker Nadhirshah has lodged a police complaint against a pet hospital in Ernakulam, following the sudden death of his pet cat during a grooming session. The incident reportedly occurred while the feline was undergoing routine grooming at the facility.
According to Nadhirshah, the cat showed no signs of illness prior to being taken to the hospital. However, during the grooming process, the pet allegedly collapsed and died, raising suspicions of medical negligence or mishandling.
Deeply distressed, Nadhirshah approached the police demanding an investigation into the hospital’s procedures and accountability of the staff. He also urged for stricter regulations and oversight of pet clinics to avoid such incidents in the future.
Animal lovers and netizens have voiced support for Nadhirshah, calling for better pet care standards and transparent handling of grooming and veterinary services.
