Ahmedabad witnessed shock and anger after a Class 10 student of Seventh Day Adventist School was fatally stabbed by his junior on Tuesday, following a heated altercation. The boy succumbed to injuries later that night, sparking massive protests by parents, locals, and community members.

Police investigations uncovered a disturbing chat between the accused and his friend, where the teenager admitted to the crime. In the conversation, the accused allegedly said the victim had provoked him by questioning, “Who are you and what will you do?” to which he responded with a violent knife attack. Despite his friend’s attempts to reason with him, the accused replied, “Whatever happened has happened now,” and was advised to go underground and delete the messages.

By Wednesday morning, grief turned into rage. Hundreds of parents, the victim’s family, and members of the Sindhi community stormed the school premises, demanding accountability from the management. The protest escalated quickly, with angry crowds damaging school buses, cars, and two-wheelers, and even attacking staff.

Police forces initially struggled to contain the situation but eventually pushed the mob outside the campus. The protesters then staged a sit-in on the main road, raising slogans against both the police and school authorities while blocking traffic.

Officials have assured strict action against those responsible, while the tragic incident has sparked wider debates about student violence, school safety, and accountability of educational institutions.
