Chennai : For a group of children in Chennai, a Sunday evening at sea became an unusual classroom where they learnt sailing, teamwork, responsibility and life skills. The initiative, led by an Air India pilot, offered the children an opportunity to learn through direct experience rather than conventional classroom lessons.
The outing introduced the children to the basics of sailing while encouraging them to work together, communicate and take responsibility for different tasks on board. The experience demonstrated how activities outside the classroom can help children develop confidence and practical skills.
