Mumbai: Amid the Karnataka political crisis with the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition MLAs giving mass resignation and rapid political developments, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is trying every means possible to save the government. Now, in a shocking development, one of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders has offered CM HDK, deputy chief minister post in the state if he chose to ally with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The leader is none other than the Republican Party of India leader Ramdas Athawale.

In his statement, he has said, “The state coalition is fast losing its numbers to run the government. While this is happening, it is better that CM HDK resigns from the post of CM.”

He has mocked at CM HDK stating, “He should have been with the NDA government, but he ran behind the CM’s post.”

“I had long back advised him to join the NDA. Now he is weeping almost daily saying that it is almost impossible to rule the state under this state coalition of Congress-JDS. He has still time to decide. I suggest him to resign from state coalition as CM and join the BJP. Even though he might not be made the CM, he will definitely be given the post of DyCM. I request him to accept our offer”, he added.
