New Delhi, October 9, 2025: Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level security review meeting to assess the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was attended by senior officials, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and top brass from the Army, CRPF, and intelligence agencies.
During the meeting, Shah was briefed on recent developments and ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the region. He reiterated the government’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and emphasized the need for a coordinated approach among security agencies.
Shah instructed officials to ensure that security forces have the necessary resources and autonomy to effectively combat terrorist activities. He highlighted the importance of intelligence-sharing and maintaining a robust security grid to prevent any resurgence of terrorism in the region.
The Home Minister also discussed measures to enhance the safety of civilians and infrastructure, urging officials to remain vigilant and proactive in their operations.
This review comes in the wake of several recent terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring the government’s focus on strengthening security and counter-terrorism efforts in the region.
