Anant Ambani, the son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, has been garnering attention for his sacred padyatra from Jamnagar to Dwarka ahead of his 30th birthday. However, the journey took an unexpected turn when Anant halted his pilgrimage to rescue a flock of hens from a cage.
The video circulating on social media shows Anant Ambani holding one of the hens in front of a large cage filled with trapped birds. Surrounded by his security team, Anant is seen instructing someone off-camera to ensure that all the birds are freed and treated as rescued animals. He also directed the person to pay the owner of the birds so they could be rescued without complications.
The padyatra, which covers a distance of over 140 kilometers from Jamnagar to Dwarka, has seen Anant walking 10-12 kilometers each night for the past five days. The journey is part of his effort to seek blessings at the Dwarkadhish Temple before his birthday on April 10.
In the video, Anant also shared his message for the youth, urging them to have faith in Lord Dwarkadhish: “Remember Lord Dwarkadhish before starting any work, and it will surely be completed without obstacles,” he told news agency ANI.
A Deep Love for Animals
Anant Ambani is known for his strong commitment to animal welfare. He is the driving force behind Vantara, a large-scale animal rescue center located at the Reliance Jamnagar Refinery Complex. The center recently received the prestigious Prani Mitra National Award from the Government of India, which is the highest honor in animal welfare under the “Corporate” category.
Anant’s compassion for animals is evident in his actions, and this recent incident of rescuing hens during his padyatra is yet another example of his ongoing commitment to animal welfare.
