Bhogapuram Airport is emerging as a major catalyst for the rapid development of Vizianagaram district, positioning itself as the primary gateway to North Andhra Pradesh. The region is witnessing a flurry of activity across tourism, hospitality, IT, infrastructure, and real estate sectors.

To boost tourism, the government has allocated 80 acres, with land parcels granted to top players like Mycare and the Oberoi Group. Coastal tourist cottages are being renovated, while GMR is developing a luxury five-star hotel. The Taj Group and another private firm are also setting up premium hospitality projects, including a beach resort.

In terms of connectivity, 15 new roads have received government clearance. Key links to national highways are being expanded to six lanes, ensuring seamless travel to and from the airport. With this improved infrastructure, more hotels, residential townships, and business zones are expected to rise rapidly.

GMR has also been granted 500 acres to build a sprawling integrated township. Meanwhile, the IT sector is gaining momentum with 100 acres earmarked for an IT park. Business parks, logistics hubs, and startup facilities are taking shape, attracting early investments.

Real estate around Bhogapuram is booming, with developers lining up township projects. Adding to the commercial momentum is a ₹150 crore world-class convention centre designed to host business conferences and trade events — a move expected to boost the district’s economic profile further.
