Andhra Pradesh: According to Kishore Babu, the Andhra Pradesh inspector of police, a second-year engineering student at Luckyreddy Balireddy Engineering College in the state’s NTR district is suspected of hanging herself in her dorm room on Saturday.
According to Kishore Babu, the student was recognized as Roshini, a citizen of Chanderlapadu mandal’s Muppalla village.
As word spread of an incident involving a second-year Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) student, a somber atmosphere descended upon Luckyreddy Balireddy Engineering College.
In response to the unfortunate event, the college management promptly declared a holiday to allow students and staff time to process the shocking news.
Parents and relatives of the student rushed to the college to be with their grieving family.
“The student’s body was transported to Mylavaram Government Hospital for post-mortem,” said Kishore Babu.
During this distressing time, concerns were raised by her relatives, who sought answers from the college management about the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
One important question that is brought up is what the hostel warden’s role and supervision should be in these kinds of circumstances. Following conversations among the student’s family, the management, and the police, investigations into the circumstances surrounding Roshini’s decision were started.
“The girl had taken her own life within the college hostel premises,” stated Kishore Babu.
He underlined that a thorough investigation covering every facet of the case was in progress.
