Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend and former India captain Sachin Tendulkar, is officially engaged to Saaniya Chandok, granddaughter of renowned Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. The intimate engagement ceremony was attended by close family and friends from both sides.

Arjun, 25, is a left-arm fast-bowling all-rounder who currently plays domestic cricket for Goa and has represented Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. He began his career with Mumbai in the 2020/21 season, debuting in a T20 match against Haryana, and later represented India U19. In 2022/23, he moved to Goa, making his first-class and List A debuts. In red-ball cricket, he has scored 532 runs, including a century and two fifties, while taking 37 wickets. In the IPL, he has played five matches, taking three wickets and scoring 13 runs.

Saaniya Chandok belongs to one of Mumbai’s most influential business families. The Ghai family owns the luxury InterContinental Marine Drive hotel and the popular health-oriented ice cream brand, The Brooklyn Creamery. She is a Director and Designated Partner at Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP in Mumbai.

Her grandfather, Ravi Iqbal Ghai, is the chairman of Graviss Hospitality Ltd, which has a rich legacy in the hospitality and ice cream industries. The family’s business roots trace back to Iqbal Krishan “IK” Ghai, the visionary behind Kwality Ice Cream and the InterContinental hotel. Under Ravi Ghai’s leadership, the company has expanded internationally, particularly in the Middle East.
