Haridwar: Ayurvedic products giant Patanjali, on Tuesday launched its drug for curing Corona Virus. Named ‘Coronil’, the company calaims that the medicine is the cure for the COVID-19 caused by the novel Corona Virus.
Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev launched the medicine during a press conference at Patanjali’s headquarters in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. He said that it is the first ayurvedc medicine for Coronavirus.
“We conducted clinical study on 100 patients. Around 65 per cent of them returned negative test results within three days,” Ramdev said.
Patanjali CEO Acharya Balkrishna was present at the event. He had, earlier this month stated that the team at Patanjal was working on developing drug for the pandemic that has affected the entire globe.
Patanjali has said the research was undertaken by a joint team of the Patanjali Research Institute (PRI) and the National Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Jaipur.
The product has been manufactured by Divya Pharmacy of the Patanajli.
It may be recalled that hundreds of drug giants are still working across the globe to find vaccine for the infection.
