A newborn baby boy was welcomed into the world on Sunday at the Central Hospital located in the vast Maha Kumbh Mela area, situated on the banks of the Ganga River. This birth, considered a fortunate beginning for the upcoming Kumbh Mela starting on January 13, holds symbolic importance. The baby is the son of a labourer couple, Sonam (20) and her husband, who reside in Kaushambi.
At around 7 pm, Sonam approached the hospital seeking assistance, and a team of three doctors, led by Dr. Gaurav Dubey and supported by Dr. Nupur and Dr. Vartika, quickly guided her to the makeshift labor room equipped with advanced medical facilities. The labor and delivery process was smooth, and Sonam gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing around 2.4 kg. The medical team confirmed that both mother and child were in good health.
Dr. Dubey, in an interview with Times of India, shared that they had suggested the name “Ved” for the newborn, a fitting choice for the auspicious occasion. The birth of this baby is viewed as a positive omen for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, a time of spiritual significance for millions of devotees.
