In a recent operation, Navi Mumbai police arrested a Bangladeshi couple and their two children for illegally residing in the Juhugaon area of Navi Mumbai. Acting on a tip-off, the police’s anti-human trafficking cell raided the residence on Sunday evening. The couple, both in their 40s, and their children, aged 20 and 22, were detained after they failed to produce valid documents for their stay in India.

According to police, the family had been living in the area while working as laborers, with one member even selling fish locally to make ends meet. An FIR has been filed against them under the Foreign Nationals Act and the Indian Passport Act. The family remains in custody as investigations continue.
