Bengaluru police have taken action against a service provider after food supplied to police and Home Guard personnel deployed for Aero India 2025 was found to contain insects. The incident came to light when a photo of a cockroach in a food packet was circulated on Sunday, prompting complaints from the personnel. The following morning, another complaint was lodged after more insects were found in the breakfast.

As a result, the police suspended the contract with DNA, the service provider that had been awarded the food supply contract through a tender process, and replaced them with Iskcon for future meals. DNA had previously supplied food for the police during events such as the Indian Premier League (IPL) and previous Aero India editions.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast), V J Sajeeth, personally visited the site on Monday to inspect the quality of food after receiving complaints from security personnel. A case has been registered under Section 275 (sale of noxious food or drink) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
