A Merchant Navy officer from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, met a horrific fate—his body was dismembered into over 15 pieces, placed inside a sealed drum filled with cement. The gruesome act was the result of an illicit affair between his wife, Muskaan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, exposing a story of deceit, infidelity, and murder.
Love Turns Sour
Saurabh Rajput married Muskaan in 2016, leaving his seafaring career to spend more time with her. However, tensions arose within the family, forcing them to move into a rented home. In 2019, the couple welcomed a daughter, but soon after, Saurabh discovered Muskaan’s affair with his friend Sahil. Though divorce was discussed, Saurabh chose to stay for his child and eventually resumed his Merchant Navy job in 2023.
A Sinister Plot
On February 24, 2025, Saurabh returned home to celebrate his daughter’s sixth birthday. But by then, Muskaan and Sahil had plotted his murder. On March 4, she drugged his meal, and once he was unconscious, the duo stabbed him to death. They cut his body into pieces, concealed them in a cement-sealed drum, and planned to dispose of it later.
Deception and Arrest
To mislead others, the couple traveled to Manali with Saurabh’s phone, uploading fake updates on social media. However, after his family failed to contact him, they filed a police complaint. Under interrogation, Muskaan and Sahil confessed, leading authorities to the cemented drum. The body was finally retrieved with a drill machine, two weeks after the crime.
