New Delhi: Attacking Home Minister Amit Shah for his “Tukde Tukde” comment, former minister Yashwant Sinha said that the most dangerous ‘tukde tukde’ gang ever was that of Duryodhana and Dusshasana.
“Both of them are now in the BJP. Beware of them,” Sinha said, on Friday in an obvious reference to Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Epic Mahabharat portrays Duryodhan and Dusshasan as antagonist siblings responsible for the great battle of Kurukshetra.
Earlier this week, Shah had called upon people to teach a lesson to the opposition Congress, referring to the national party as ‘Tukde Tukde’ gang. Even Prime Minister Modi had called protesters as ‘urban naxals’. Their comments came in the backdrop of the nationwide protests going on against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
Sinha, a member of Atal Bihari Vajpayee cabinet had quit the BJP in 2018 citing difference of opinion. He had stated that he was retiring from politics and will be taking up campaign to save democracy. Since then he has been vocal in criticising the BJP.
