
Bihar: BJP Leader Shot Dead Over Land Dispute
Alamganj: Ajay Shah (50), a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and dairy booth operator, was shot dead by armed miscreants near Bajrangpuri on Tuesday night. Police suspect a land dispute may be the motive behind the murder.
According to police reports and local sources, Ajay Shah, who previously served as the general secretary of BJP Bajrangpuri Mandal, was attacked while sitting at his milk booth around 10 pm. Two youths reportedly entered the booth and opened fire, resulting in Shah falling to the ground. Family members, who were inside the house attached to the booth, rushed him to a private hospital. However, he was later pronounced dead at Nalanda Medical College Hospital.
Following the incident, ASP Sharath AS and police station in-charge Rajiv Kumar arrived at the crime scene to investigate. Shah’s wife, Shobha Devi, reported that her husband was closing the milk booth when the assailants arrived and shot him before fleeing on foot.
The police are treating the murder as a possible outcome of a land dispute. ASP Sharath RS stated that efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrators and assured that the investigation is actively ongoing.
