Patna: A wave of concern has swept through Bagaha city in Bihar’s West Champaran district as approximately a dozen individuals have sustained injuries from a “mad” horse. Residents are alarmed by the horse’s erratic behavior, believing it to be intentionally targeting pedestrians, particularly school-going children, women, and elderly individuals. This article delves into the details of the horse attacks, the response from local authorities, and the public’s growing apprehension.

Injuries from the “Mad” Horse

Residents of Bagaha city have reported a series of unsettling incidents involving a seemingly “mad” horse. The animal has been spotted roaming in various areas, including Ambedkar Chowk, Bela Gola, Masan colony, and the railway overbridge vicinity. Most concerning is the fact that the horse appears to be biting individuals, leading to injuries, particularly among school-going children, women, and elderly residents.

The situation has prompted residents to seek medical attention for those bitten by the horse. Approximately half a dozen patients have been admitted to the primary health center in Ram Nagar, Bagaha, where Dr. Kasim oversees their care. Fortunately, the conditions of the injured individuals are reported to be stable.

Local Response and Concerns

Faced with the increasing number of horse attacks, local authorities took the matter seriously and reported it to the Forest and Wildlife Department. However, the efforts to capture the animal have so far proven unsuccessful. This has raised concerns among the public, as the “mad” horse continues to pose a risk to residents, particularly those who frequently navigate the affected areas.

The local community is now calling for swift and effective measures to address the situation and ensure the safety of pedestrians, especially schoolchildren, women, and elderly individuals who have been the primary targets of these horse attacks.
