Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is back in India for the third consecutive year, this time celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Gates Foundation. While his schedule has been packed with important meetings, including one with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gates took a moment to indulge in a beloved Indian street food—vada pav.

A video shared on Instagram shows Gates sitting on a bench alongside cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, both casually dressed and savoring the iconic snack. Gates captioned the post, “A snack break before we get to work,” and the clip quickly went viral, capturing the attention of fans and followers alike.

Reflecting on his trip, Gates wrote in a blog post, “I came away with new ideas because India is full of smart, ambitious people tackling some of the world’s hardest problems in creative ways.” The video of him and Tendulkar enjoying vada pav also brought back memories of their previous meeting, which took place during Gates’ visit to Mumbai last year. On that occasion, the two discussed philanthropy, with Tendulkar calling it a “wonderful learning opportunity” and Gates expressing optimism about their future collaborations in children’s healthcare.

This lighthearted moment amid Gates’ busy schedule highlights the strong bond he shares with India and its leaders, as well as his appreciation for the country’s innovative spirit.
