Kolkata: A BJP worker’s wife was allegedly gang raped by four men in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district.
As per the lady’s complaint, four men allegedly abducted her and took her to an isolated building. The men whose faces were covered with cloth masks, then took turns to rape her.
Reports state that the men lured the woman by promising to coach her husband into becoming a top leader.
The culprits are not identified and are on loose. The West Bengal Police have launched a manhunt to detain the accused.
BJP National Secretary Rahul Sinha told Times Now that there is no respect left for women in a state ruled by a woman and police have become just mute spectators. He also added that TMC MP Tapas Pal had once said that he would send his men to rape women.
When asked if he was blaming the TMC for the incident, Sinha said that there is not even one rapist and goon in West Bengal, who is not being shielded by the Trinamool Congress. He concluded by saying that he holds West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
