New Delhi: We all have seen how out of national pride and mark of respect towards the Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, men in the country had shaped their moustache like his. But now, the Indian state-owned telecommunication company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a brand new prepaid recharge plan as a tribute to Abhinandan under the plan name ‘Abhinandan 151.’

BSNL will be offering this prepaid plan without any Fair Usage Policy (FuP) and will be providing unlimited local and national calls, 100 SMS free per day for 24 days and 1 GB data per day.

Though the validity of Abhinandan 151 pack is 180 days, the benefits of SMS and data hold good only for 24 days.

Those who wish to avail the plan can send an SMS– PLAN 151 to 123.

Currently, the plan has only been introduced in Chennai and Tamil Nadu and may be extended to Mumbai and Delhi as well.

It may be recalled that on February 27, Wing Commander Abhinandan who was flying IAF MiG–21 Bison fighter jet, protecting the Indian air space from the Pakistani Air Force F-16 fighter jet, after the Indian Air Force airstrike in Balakot, had shot down the F-16 in an aerial fight. Eventually, due to technical difficulties, Abhinandan’s MiG–21 had crashed on the Pakistani soil. Abhinanadan had landed there safely.

He was then held in captivity by the Pakistani security forces for 60 hours and after the exertion of global pressure by India, the Pakistan Government had released him on March 1.
