New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials conducted a raid on Congress leader D K Shivakumar’s Delhi residence on Monday, October 21.

DKShi, who is already lodged in Tihar Jail in connection to money laundering case by the Rose Avenue Special Court, is now facing charges of corruption in solar plant scheme, when he was the state power minister in the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government.

The CBI has conducted a raid based on suspicion that he might have received bribes in the scheme.

Earlier, in the year 2017, the Income Tax department officials had conducted raid on the same residence located at Safdarjung, where the officials had seized Rs 5.5 crore, which DKShi had stashed in his residence.
