Faridabad: A Class 8 student from a private school in Faridabad district allegedly ended his life by hanging himself after failing a subject, officials revealed on Saturday.
The boy, an only child, lived in Sector 31 and had recently failed his social science exam. His results were declared on Friday, after which he appeared distressed.
Upon returning home from school, he locked himself in his first-floor room. When he did not come out by late evening, his worried mother went upstairs to check. Finding the door locked, she looked through the back window—only to witness a heartbreaking sight.
Shocked and devastated, she screamed for help, alerting neighbors who immediately called the police. Officers from Sector 31 police station arrived at the scene. According to SHO Surendra Singh, no suicide note was found, though relatives confirmed that the student had been under immense academic pressure.
Authorities are investigating all possible factors behind this tragic loss. Meanwhile, grief has engulfed the family and the local community, leaving everyone in deep sorrow.
