New Delhi: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa flew to New Delhi on Tuesday, August 6, to attend a meeting with the officials to discuss the construction of the all new Karnataka Bhavan and its progress.
Chairing a progress meet with the concerned officials, CM BSY directed them to begin the demolition of the old Karnataka Bhavan in the national capital after August 15.
After a thorough look at the blue print of the Karnataka Bhavan, BSY informed the officials that the emblem representing the culture of the state was missing and has directed to make several changes and create a new blue print.
He directed the officials to reduce the structure from a two-storey to one-storeyed building and concentrate on constructing guest rooms and emphasize on the “Coat of Arms”, the state emblem which symbolizes its cultural heritage.
Meanwhile, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Road and Transport, Nitin Gadkari along with union ministers D.V.Sadananda Gowda, Prahalad Joshi and MLA ‘s Govind Karjol and Basavaraj Bomai.
