COIMBATORE: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday felicitated A. Rajeshwari, a tribal student who secured an impressive all-India rank of 417 under the Scheduled Tribes category in the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced).
During his visit to Salem district, the Chief Minister honoured Rajeshwari by presenting her with a shawl and a house worth ₹5.73 lakh under the Tholkudi tribal welfare scheme. Recognising her academic achievement and to support her future studies, he also gifted her a high-end laptop worth ₹70,000.
The gesture has been widely appreciated as a strong message of encouragement for students from marginalised communities aiming for higher education in prestigious institutions like the IITs.
