Comedian Pranit More was reportedly assaulted by a group of individuals following his performance in Solapur, Maharashtra, on February 2. The incident took place after his stand-up show at 24K Kraft Brewzz, where More was allegedly approached by a group of 11-12 men who initially appeared to be fans wanting selfies.
However, instead of taking pictures, the group allegedly attacked him, leaving him injured. More’s team identified one of the attackers as Tanveer Shaikh, who, along with his group, reportedly targeted More because of jokes he made during his performance.
The team also claimed that the venue had no security, and despite requests for CCTV footage, the management reportedly denied access. Additionally, Pranit’s team mentioned that police were contacted but no help arrived at the scene.
In response to the incident, Veer Pahariya, the Bollywood debutant associated with the incident, issued an apology. He condemned the attack, clarified that he had no involvement in the incident, and expressed his regret over the situation, promising to ensure those responsible are held accountable.
