In a social media post, the party identified the officer as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sandeep Lamba and claimed that he was seen slapping a woman protester during the protest.
Congress demands action
The Congress questioned how a male police officer could allegedly use physical force against a female protester, describing the incident as unacceptable.
The party urged that action be taken against the officer if the allegations are found to be true and called for an impartial investigation into the incident.
