New Delhi: AICC President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, has decided to attend the swearing-in ceremony of PM-designate Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan today evening. This decision followed extensive discussions within the party and with its allies, according to sources cited by ANI.

It was reported earlier today that Kharge received a call from BJP leader Pralhad Joshi on Saturday night, inviting him to the ceremony.

Until late last night, leaders from the I.N.D.I.A. bloc had not received invitations for Modi’s oath-taking event, scheduled for today. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, a prominent member of the bloc, has explicitly stated she will not be attending the ceremony.
