Thiruvananthapuram: The programmes that incur mammoth amount in celebration will be pulled down by the Kerala government and in turn diverted to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).
In top of the list is the International Kerala Film Festival organized every December, and also some of the school youth festivals.
According to the Kerala officials about Rs. 30,000 crore is the estimated loss in the century’s nightmare floods. Government functions will also be shut down for a year.
The state government has received Rs. 1,036 as of Monday. The cabinet ministers will be leaving to 14 countries to collect public funds.
