COVID-19: 148 cases reported in India so far; Maha registers 42 cases

New Delhi: The total number of coronavirus cases in India has reached 148 with 130 active cases as of Wednesday morning, the Union Health Ministry said.

These include 122 Indians and 25 foreigners, as per the ministry.

“The total number of active COVID-19 cases across India is 130 as on Wednesday till 9.00 a.m.,” the Union Health Ministry said.

Across the nation, 14 patients have been cured and discharged.

A total of three deaths have been reported so far in India, one each in Delhi, Maharashtra and Karnataka.

Meanwhile, in Maharashtra, a woman with history of travel to France and The Netherlands has tested positive for Coronavirus, taking the state total cases to 42, here on Wednesday.

The woman had been isolated since past few days and her test reports came positive today, said an official.

She is currently undergoing treatment in the Naidu Hospital here and her condition is described as ‘stable’.

COVID-19 claimed it’s first victim in the state on Tuesday when a 63-year-old man One person with a history of travel to Dubai, passed away in Mumbai’s Kasturba Hospital.

However, his wife and son who also tested positive are currently under treatment in the se hospital.
