In a significant development, Asawari Jagdale, daughter of a victim of the Pahalgam terror attack, has been appointed as an administrative officer in the Pune Municipal Corporation, bringing relief after months of uncertainty.

The appointment comes nearly ten months after assurances were made by senior leaders following the death of her father, Santosh Jagdale, in the terror attack. The state had promised both financial aid and government employment to the families of victims.
