New Delhi: The protesting farmers have blocked the Noida-Delhi border at Chilla once again.
In a press conference held on Tuesday on the Singhu border, farmer leaders threatened to completely block the Chilla border connecting Delhi and Noida on Wednesday.
Following this, the road to Delhi is now jammed with several cars stuck in traffic.
There has been heavy police arrangements at the Chilla border at Noida. Top police officials have arrived to talk to the farmers. Police say that there have been talks with the farmers. The farmers are ready to stage a peaceful strike. The farmers have agreed to not seal the border at present, Rannvijay Singh Additional DCP told Zee News.
The agitation of farmers against the three agricultural laws passed by the Centre continued for the 21th successive day, on Wednesday and the farmers have been staging a dharna on the Capital’s borders in protest against the three agricultural laws brought in by the government.
The farmers had started their protest against the new laws on November 26, and have been sitting for agitation on the roads at several boders leading to the national capital.
The leaders added that on December 20, there will be tribute meetings in villages across the country for farmers who’ve lost their lives during the agitation.
