New Delhi: In a shocking incident reported from New Delhi, a three-year-old girl child was rescued by Delhi Commission for Women, after it was found that the baby was force-fed alcohol by her drunk father every time she cried for milk.

When the Commission members rescued the child from Premnagar, she was severely ill and was found lying in a pool of excreta and her father was found sleeping next to her, with empty liquor bottles littered all over the place.

The father, an alcoholic is a rickshaw puller by profession and as per neighbours, he was neglecting the child, which was evidently not fed and even given a bath for several days. The child’s mother died about one year ago. It is said that the little girl would be locked up all alone in the house by the father whenever he ventured out on work and the neighbours also saw him pour liquor in milk bottle and force feed the baby.

The neighbours, who saw the plight of the child, that fell ill after consuming alcohol, complained to the Commission regarding the issue. The Commission members have admitted the baby to a nearby hospital, where the doctors informed that the child had picked infected in its private parts due to the unhygienic conditions that it was exposed to. She would be shifted to a shelter home once she is discharged from the hospital.
