Early on Monday morning, a dead body was discovered in a suitcase at Dadar railway station in Mumbai during a luggage-checking operation conducted by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP). The suitcase, which was found completely wrapped in plastic, led to the apprehension of two suspects.

The investigation revealed that the murder was the result of a dispute involving Arshad Ali Sheikh, the victim, and the accused, Jai Praveen Chavda and Shivjeet Surendra Singh. The conflict began over a female friend during a party on Sunday night, which escalated into violence and eventually led to Sheikh’s murder. The crime occurred within the jurisdiction of the Pydhunie Police Station.

Following the murder, the suspects planned to travel on the Tutari Express train to dispose of the body. Mumbai police initially arrested one suspect at the railway station, while the other suspect managed to escape but was later apprehended in Ulhasnagar.

All three individuals involved in the incident are deaf-mutes and communicate using sign language. To aid in the investigation, the police enlisted a sign language expert to ensure accurate communication and clarification of the murder motive.
