Delhi: “From Banking to Bhaturas: Sagar Malhotra’s Bold Leap”
Delhi: Social media is buzzing with inspiring entrepreneurial journeys, and one that stands out is Sagar Malhotra’s—a Delhi-based ex-banker who revolutionized street food vending.
A Cambridge graduate, Malhotra spent ten years in the banking sector before realizing his true passion lay elsewhere. His love for chhole kulche and dissatisfaction with roadside vendors’ inconsistent taste and hygiene led him to innovate.
Determined to bring automation into the world of street food, he spent a year researching and developing India’s first chhole kulche vending machine. With unwavering support from his mother, he created a system that delivers fresh, hygienic, and customizable plates in just 60 seconds. Customers can tweak spice levels and even choose between traditional maida or whole wheat bhaturas.
His venture, Chakh De Chole, debuted in Delhi’s Rajouri Garden and soon expanded to Vikaspuri. With rising demand, Malhotra now eyes Jaipur and Bengaluru for further expansion.
His story is a testament to the power of passion and innovation in transforming traditional food culture.
