New Delhi: The grieving mother of a 17-year-old boy, who was brutally stabbed over 50 times in a street robbery in Delhi, is demanding justice for her son’s heinous murder. The victim had gone out to buy groceries when he was attacked by a 16-year-old assailant. The mother expressed shock over the brutality of the crime and voiced concerns about the accused being a juvenile.

The mother recounted that her son left to buy flour and milk at 6 p.m. on Tuesday with money she had given him. When he didn’t return, she inquired with everyone, only to learn the next morning from the police that her son had been fatally stabbed. The police identified him by a tattoo that read ‘meri jaan mom.’

Demanding justice, the distraught mother insisted that the accused, who claimed in a video to have committed four murders, should be sentenced to death. She expressed fear that, being a juvenile, he might be released from jail in a year, posing a potential threat to others.

Disturbing visuals surfaced, showing the accused celebrating the gruesome act by dancing over the victim’s body. CCTV footage revealed the assailant dragging the body, repeatedly stabbing the victim, and engaging in a macabre dance.

The incident occurred in Janta Mazdoor Colony in North-East Delhi’s Welcome area. The accused, apprehended by the police, faces charges of robbery and murder. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-East) stated that the motive behind the murder was robbery, with the assailant choking the victim, stabbing him, and robbing him of Rs 350. The victim was declared dead upon arrival at GTB Hospital.
