Tamil Nadu’s Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has expelled Deivaseyal, the Deputy Secretary of the DMK’s local youth wing, following explosive allegations by his wife of sexual coercion and exploitation.

The woman, a 20-year-old college student from Arakkonam, claims her husband attempted to traffic her to senior party members and has exploited over 15 other young women in a similar manner. According to her, his role involved manipulating and abusing women, coercing them into sexual relationships with politicians. She described enduring public humiliation, threats of violence, and physical assault in private settings, including being attacked inside a car.

“If I resist or complain, he threatens to cut me into pieces,” she said, adding that the abuse has disrupted her studies and made her fear for her life. She issued a direct plea to Chief Minister MK Stalin, warning of suicide if immediate action was not taken.

Opposition leader E Palaniswami of the AIADMK accused the police of deliberate inaction due to the accused’s political ties. He drew comparisons to the infamous 2019 Pollachi sexual assault case and threatened mass protests unless justice was served.

The police stated that a probe is underway but claim no conclusive evidence yet confirms the woman was forced into sexual acts with others.

The controversy has ignited outrage, spotlighting concerns over political impunity, women’s safety, and institutional accountability.
