A recent video from Mumbai has sparked widespread concern after it showed an elderly man engaging in a dangerous stunt while attempting to board an AC local train. The man can be seen gripping the doors of the train, trying to stop them from closing in an effort to catch the train despite its already crowded condition. As the doors attempted to shut, he narrowly avoided injury by jumping into the coach just in time.
The video, which has gone viral on Instagram through the “Unseen Mumbai” page, has garnered over two lakh views. The caption condemned the man’s actions as “Sheer stupidity!” and raised alarms about the increasing number of risky behaviors among passengers on Mumbai’s local trains.
Many netizens expressed outrage, with one comment stating, “Because of you, the trains coming from behind get delayed, and the crowd increases. Such people should be taught a lesson.” Others suggested that authorities should take stronger action, with some even calling for fines or physical punishment to deter such reckless behavior.
While the majority of reactions were critical, a few people remarked that such dangerous acts had become a “normal” occurrence, reflecting a disturbing trend in commuter safety.
