Ex-Finance Minister Arun Jaitley no more

New Delhi: Member of Parliament and former finance minister Arun Jaitley passed away today, August 24 at 12.07 PM. His passing was confirmed by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in a press release. He was 66 years old.

“It is with profound grief that we inform about the sad demise of Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Member of Parliament (MP) at 12:07 p.m. on Saturday. Jaitley was admitted in AIIMS, New Delhi on August 9 and was treated by a multi-disciplinary team of senior doctors,” said Aarti Vij, Chairperson, Media and Protocol, AIIMS.

It can be recalled that Jaitley was admitted to AIIMS on August 9 with complaints of breathing issues and was being treated by a multidisciplinary team of senior doctors.

He had undergone dialysis on Thursday.

His health, as per AIIMS sources, had taken a turn for the worse on Friday.
