Idduki: A farmer is doing his bit by making a useful contribution to Kerala flood victims who lost their houses and livelihood in the landslides and floods.
Pappachan, a 60-year-old farmer of Kalkoonthal village in Idukki district has offered help to the flood victims by donating 10 cents of his agricultural land to his neighbour whose house was lost in floods.
Documents of the plots of his land worth Rs 7.5 lakh were handed over by Papachan to his neighbours in a small ceremony.
“Many lost their lives and homes, I got goosebumps whenever I imagined their situation, therefore I wanted to help them, so I decided to donate my land to the needy” Pappachan said.
