Yavatmal (Maharashtra), April 28: What started as a joyous occasion to celebrate a major achievement quickly turned into an unthinkable tragedy for a family in Vagad (Ijara), Mahagaon Taluka. Prahlad Khandare, a retired extension officer of the Pusad Panchayat Samiti, tragically passed away from a heart attack during the celebration of his daughter Mohini’s success in the prestigious UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination.

Just days before, Mohini had secured a remarkable rank in the UPSC exams, an accomplishment that brought immense pride to the family and their small village. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as relatives, neighbors, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate her achievement. Prahlad, who had always supported his daughter’s education, was especially emotional, proud of her success.

As the festivities were in full swing, Prahlad suddenly collapsed, and despite immediate efforts to rush him to a nearby medical facility, he was declared dead on arrival due to a massive heart attack.

The village, which had been buzzing with celebration, was soon plunged into grief. The joy of Mohini’s success was overshadowed by the sudden and heartbreaking loss of her father, who had dedicated his life to public service and supporting her educational journey. While Mohini’s achievement should have been a moment of triumph, it was now marked by the devastating loss of her beloved father.
