New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in an attempt to counter the BJP’s election focus on the issue of nationalism slammed PM Narendra Modi stating that the PM was filming when terrorists attacked the CRPF convoy.

Dr Manmohan Singh said that the number of terrorist attacks had jumped manifolds during the NDA rule in the last five years.

When the Congress had alleged that the PM was filming movies in Jim Corbett National Park, the BJP had claimed that he was attending a meeting regarding tiger conservation.

Dr Singh had also pointed out at the intelligence failure of the government in anticipating the Pulwama attack. He said that the Modi government’s strategies were a failure in the national security front.

Dr Singh’s statement was a conscious attempt of the Congress party to counter BJP’s focus on issues of nationalism and terrorism in this election.
