Kadaba: In a ridiculous incident, two soldiers and their friends beat up the local cops on duty and damaged their vehicle on September 30. Ratnakar and Harish in the defence service were on their yearly leave with their friends Dinesh, Prashanth and others when they thrashed the sub-inspector of Kadaba Police Station and personnel Shreeshaila, Shivaprasad, Puttaswamy and Home Guard Yogish.
They even smashed the vehicle and alcohol meter that checks alcohol content in people. As per the information was given by the police, the soldiers threatened to torch their vehicle.
The injured police have been admitted to Kadaba Community Hospital.
The incident occurred when the police were on their routine rounds and stopped Harish and Ratnakar who were on their bike for not wearing a helmet. They then started to hurl abuses at the police and questioned them as to who they were to question the soldiers and started to thrash them.
The police tried to protect themselves when the rest of Harish’s friends came to help them. Shreeshaila has received severe injuries to the head.
Additional policemen were summoned and the assaulters were then arrested.
