ERODE: In a late-night crackdown, four Bangladeshi nationals — including two minors — were arrested for residing and working in the Chennimalai area without valid passports or visas.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Chennimalai police and the Q Branch conducted surprise raids from Friday evening till midnight. The four — identified as Mohammed Naim Hussain, Mohammed Minor Hussain, Mohammed Dorigul Islam, and Mohammed Kuthiz Hussain — were found to be employed at private factories in the locality.

Police said the men are currently under interrogation and have been booked under relevant sections of immigration law. Authorities confirmed that further raids will be carried out to trace other illegal immigrants in the region.
